Tons is a measurement-led workout tracker built around one honest number: total tonnage — weight × reps, added up. Log a set in seconds, watch your daily ton fill up, climb the rank ladder from a piano to a rocket.
On your device and in your own iCloud. Logging works offline and needs no account. You can export a JSON backup from Settings at any time, and restore it on a new phone. If you join a crew, the sets you log from that day are also shared with the people in it; see crew privacy.
A private group of up to 12 people who see each other's week in tons and can cheer the days someone lifts. Open the Crew tab, sign in with Apple, pick a name, then create a crew and send its invite link, or join one from a link someone sent you. You can be in up to 5 crews. Nobody is ranked: people are listed alphabetically.
Both are in the crew settings, the button in the top corner of the Crew tab. Leaving takes you out of that crew. Deleting the account removes your profile and everything you shared. Your own journal stays on your phone either way.
Settings → Backup → Export, send the file to the new device (AirDrop works great), then Settings → Backup → Import. iCloud device backup also carries Tons data automatically.
Only to read your bodyweight, so bodyweight exercises (push-ups, pull-ups…) count real kilograms. It's optional — you can also type your bodyweight in Settings.
You can log a set on the watch on its own: pick the exercise, turn the crown to set reps or weight, tap to save. The set travels to the iPhone as soon as the two are in range, so the phone stays the single source of truth for your totals.
By default Tons learns your usual training time and sends a single daily nudge around it. You can pick a fixed time — or turn reminders off entirely — in Settings → Reminders.
